  Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance

Alfa Romeo was the featured marque at this year's Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. We were there, and enjoyed the hospitality of the Florida Alfa Club (thanks, Chip Denyko, Delmas Greene et al) and a very enthusiastic group of Alfa 1900 owners.

More gorgeous Alfas

A very lucky Arturo & Deborah Keller own two 8C Alfas: a maroon Viotti-bodied 1932 2300B, and a dark blue, Farina-bodied 1938 2900B cabriolet
Seems like half the world's precious 8C 2900Bs were here: this one is Canadian David Cohen's 1938
The knobs look like candy, don't they?

Post-war Alfas: Bruce Robertson's silver 1952 6C 2500 Touring Cabriolet; a silver 1900 Zagato; a white 1900 C Sprint and Sandra McNeil's white 1960 Sprint Zagato

Gene Ponder's 1955 1900 Super Sport
Timothy Gallagher's 1953 1900 Pininfarina Coupe
Larry Smith's 1959 SS (Sprint Speciale)
Looking like it just left the factory was Claus Menzel's 1955 Giulietta Berlina
An immaculate Giulietta Spider Veloce from 1959. Owners: Susie & Charlie Goddard
This futuristic car is a Pininfarina-bodied 6C 3500CM, circa 1960

O. Delmas Greene's rare 1960 Vignale-bodied 2000 Coupe
A 1965 2600 SZ belonging to longtime Alfa guru Joe Benson

TWL & Carol Wagnon own this light blue 1972 Jr. Zagato

An exciting row of Tubolare Zagatos, beginning with this TZ-2 belonging to Lawrence Auriana

Tipo 33 race cars: Nick Soprano's 1970 Tazman coupe, and Joe Nastasi's red and yellow 1972 SC12.
A virtually perfect 1969 Spider, part of the Brumos collection in nearby Jacksonville
This amusing "Alfa" was quite at home on the golf course!
Some non-Alfas were there, too...

A highlight of Saturday's RM classic car auction, this Ferrari 166MM Barchetta sold in a few minutes for $1.6million!
Another auction car, a competition Ferrari Daytona. Yes, it was loud when they fired it up!

Yet another Ferrari 166 Barchetta, a 1950 owned by Tom & Dee Stegman of Cincinnati (and maintained by former IAP employee Joe Radovsky)
You won't see too many of these: Scott Gauthier's 1949 Fiat 750 MM Topolino/Zagato
We'll leave you with this stunning 1938 Lancia Belna Eclipse, which belongs to John Muir of New Hampshire
