 X1/9 w/Fuel Injection
The oxygen sensor indicator light in your X1/9 comes on every 30,000 as a reminder to replace the sensor. In order to turn off the indicator light, the idicator switch must be reset.
Working from passenger's side footwell, reach behind center console to gain access to the switch unit.
Remove safety wire (if still so equipped) securing cap screw. Remove cap screw. Insert a small screwdriver through the housing and depress switch contact. Contact will then reset to the high point on the counter wheel. Reinstall cap screw.
