The oxygen sensor indicator light in your 124 comes on every 30,000 as a reminder to replace the sensor. In order to turn off the indicator light, the idicator switch must be reset.
The switch unit is located under the dashboard to the right of the steering column.
Remove safety wire (if still so equipped) securing cap screw. Remove cap screw. Insert a small screwdriver through the housing and depress switch contact. Contact will then reset to the high point on the counter wheel. Reinstall cap screw.
