Frequently Asked Questions
Whom do I contact to eliminate duplicate catalogs, receive catalogs at a new address, or have my name removed from your mailing list?
Just send us an e-mail (customerservice@international-auto.com) requesting the desired action. To help us process your request, please include the Key Code # (in the purple box above your name on the catalog's mailing label) and the Customer ID # (in the green box). Changes to our catalog database may require up to 90 days to take effect, as we transmit this database to our mailing affiliate well in advance of the catalog mailing. For more information on mailing list deletions, visit our Privacy and Security page.

Why are there items in your printed catalog that are not available through your website?
Many of our "Custom Fit" items require considerable information beyond the usual "year, make, and model." Consequently, these have taken a little longer for us to configure. If you have questions regarding an item that's in our printed catalog but not on our website, send us an e-mail (customerservice@international-auto.com) or give us a call at 800-726-4305. Our knowledgeable Sales Associates are available to aid you in the proper configuration of all custom fit items or to help you with any of our products.

Why is a particular "Custom Fit" item not available for my vehicle?
We offer products to fit most, but not all, vehicles. Our product offering is limited to those available from our manufacturers. If you can't find your vehicle in our online database, please contact us for availability.(customerservice@international-auto.com)

What is a "drop shipment"?
A drop shipment is any item that is sent directly from the manufacturer's facilities instead of shipping from our warehouse. Our custom fit items and larger items make up the bulk of this kind of shipment. A drop shipment should arrive no more than 3 weeks from the date ordered. If you should need to return such an item, please send it to International Auto Parts and not to the manufacturer.

Do you ship internationally?
We ship to anywhere in the world using UPS delivery services. Please call us for a shipping quote, as our regular shipping charges do not apply to international and air shipments.

Is it safe to order online?
Absolutely! Our order process is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. All of your personal information (name, address, credit card number, etc.) is encrypted so it cannot be read as the information travels across the Internet. To learn more about this technology, visit our Privacy and Security page. Ordinary email is not so encrypted, so it is not advisable to place orders through or transmit your credit card number via email.

How long will it take to get my order?
We're proud to offer same-day shipping on most orders of in-stock merchandise, i.e. merchandise that we have in our warehouse. If you order in-stock items today by 1:00 p.m. Eastern (weekdays), your order will be on its way to you this afternoon.

What types of payment are accepted?
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You may use a personal check or a money order if you mail in your order. For International orders: we accept American Express, Visa and Mastercard credit cards, money orders and bank drafts payable in U.S. dollars. Outside the continental U.S., our surface shipping cost table does not apply. Please call for estimated shipping rates. Actual shipping rates will be added to your credit card.

Do I have to add tax to my order?
Only Virginia residents are charged sales tax of 5.3%.

How long has International Auto Parts been in business?

How will I know if my order has been shipped?
Shortly after placing your order, you will receive a copy of your invoice by e-mail. Upon shipment of all or part of your order you will receive another e-mail confirming the item(s) shipped, shipping address, and the tracking number, along with the appropriate URL for order tracking online. Should you have additional questions regarding the status of your order, please give us a call (800-726-4305) or e-mail us at customerservice@international-auto.com.

The fine print on your latest email offer indicated that "some exclusions apply" to the sale. What does that mean?
Certain manufacturers prefer that their products not appear in our sales and promotional offers. Examples of these companies include Hella lights and KONI shocks. We respect their products and their policies, but we also pride ourselves on giving our customers the best value possible. We offer these products at the lowest possible price every day, so even though they're not "on sale," you're still getting a great deal.

Please note: Special offers may not apply to some overweight or oversized products. Examples of these products include wheels, exhausts, radiators, exchange cylinder heads, flywheels, short blocks, frame stiffeners, transmissions, differentials, and complete gasket sets. Special offers do not apply to wholesale orders. Discounted pricing also does not apply to all core changes. Special offers are valid only on in-stock merchandise sent via ground shipping to the 48 contiguous United States and do not apply to orders shipped by truck freight.
