Flex discs come with a metal band. Do not cut off the band until you have installed the disc.A side note: these are often incorrectly called "Guibos." There was a brand called "Giubo"--short for "Giunti Boschi" (giunti meaning joints), and pronounced "JOO-bo" in Italian.
