Material - For fabric tops, Sun-Fast resists shrinking, sagging and billowing at speed much better than the lower-priced Stay Fast material (both are US-made by Haartz), and is
far superior to canvas. In vinyl, we look for quality and thickness. Haartz supplies a US-made 36-oz. vinyl that clearly outlasts the imported vinyl in many lesser tops.

Rear Window - Be certain the window material is UV- and scratch-resistant. In our experience, a Regalite BUV Ultralight window really stands up to sunlight and repeated folding. 40-gauge thickness is optimal.

Fit & Finish - A quality top that fits perfectly adds value to your car. Too often, we see tops with wrinkles and sloppy seams. We prefer Robbins tops because of their consistently high quality.

Warranty - Make sure you are protected against manufacturing defects for three years.

Sun-Fast Fabric Tops - Better Than Stay-Fast Absolutely the finest cloth top available. Made in the USA by Robbins. Sun-Fast fabric uses 100% acrylic Glen Raven surface cloth, laminated with a superior rubber formulation to a pre-shrunk cotton backing cloth. Sun-Fast is engineered for high tensile and tear strength, but the fabric stays soft, supple and color-fast. Rear windows of 40-gauge Regalite B.U.V. Ultralight plastic withstand UV and pollution damage, and resist scratching. Three-year limited warranty. Please choose from the following outer colors: Black, Brown, Tan or Charcoal. Interior colors are Tan or Black. (Charcoal comes only with Black interior.) Please note: exterior colors other than Black are not returnable unless defective.
Hand-Rolled Binding Sun-Fast tops are available with hand-rolled binding around the edges of the top. The edge binding is rolled over itself to hide the stitching, adding a refined look that is well worth the modest cost.
