The GTV6 is much more rust-resistant than the Alfetta GT upon which it was based. That said, there are a few weak spots to watch for. One of the best pieces of advice we have, learned the hard way is to remove the splash panel behind the front fender (by drilling out the pop rivets), and clean out the accumulated mud, sand, leaves, etc. Then replace the panel with sheet metal screws so you can clean behind it periodically. Also, make sure the hoses that drain the sunroof into this cavity are kept free of debris. |
